When the Phones Are Answered
| Day | Eastern | Central (San Marcos time) |
|---|---|---|
| Monday through Friday | 7am – 10pm EST | 6am – 9pm Central |
| Saturday | 8am – 10pm EST | 7am – 9pm Central |
| Sunday | 7am – 9pm EST | 6am – 8pm Central |
Outside these hours, calls may not be answered. If a tree has fallen on a power line or a gas meter, call the utility or 911 first, not a tree line.
Good Reasons to Call
- A limb is on the roof, a car, or a fence
- A tree is leaning more than it used to, or the soil has heaved on one side of the trunk
- An oak died quickly and you want it handled before it spreads anything
- You need canopy raised for the city's sidewalk and street clearance
- A stump is in the way of a patio, sod or a new tree
- Cedar has taken over a lot and you want it cleared selectively
What to Have Ready
- The property address, including the ZIP code
- What kind of tree it is, if you know (live oak, red oak, pecan, cedar elm, hackberry, cedar)
- About how tall it is and how close it sits to the house, fence, pool or lines
- How a truck or equipment would get in: gate width, slopes, soft ground
- Any HOA rules about tree work
The person on the phone will ask about the job, not put a price on it. Pricing comes from someone looking at the tree in person.
